And it's doing my head in, cos it's my favourite of all the "classic" Boutique synths (I think the SE-02 is my favourite of all).ĭoes anyone have any advice or troubleshooting steps they can give me? I'd be so grateful. I have no idea why the JU-06A won't work. I've successfully installed 2xJP-08, an SE-02 and a TR-09 on this same MacBook Pro. The other common solution - to allow the driver to load by giving it permission in System Preferences > Security > General - isn't an issue: the driver loads successfully. I've tried several different USB cables but the JU-06A still doesn't appear. It also says I need to select the JU-06A as a sound input/output source in System Preferences.īut the JU-06A is not visible in either Audio Midi Setup or System Preferences > Sound.Īnd Roland being Roland, there's nothing in the setup or help files that gives any information at all about how to troubleshoot the problem. Roland's website says I should go into the "Audio Midi Setup" app. I get sound out of the built-in speaker purely from the MacBook's USB power. The MacBook is powering the JU-06A via USB, so it's definitely connected properly. Please connect Boutique JU-06A."Įxcept the Boutique *is* connected - but it's not showing at all. I've installed the driver - the "install helper" app (which is bundled with the driver) says "The driver has been successfully installed. I've got a JU-06A and a MacBook Pro running Catalina. This issue has come up on different forums at different times, and now it's affecting me.
